The 1-4-U-2-Call was bought by Martin and Kathryn Lewis in 2002.
There is a long line of chimney sweeps within the family as Kathryn’s Dad and two brothers were also chimney sweeps, with Kathryn’s Dad successively running one of the biggest chimney sweeping trade associations for over 20 years.
The 1-4-U-2-Call Was Started back in 1992 by Lee Northcutt who was trained by Kathryn’s Dad.

Since Martin and Kathryn took over, the business has gone from strength to strength. With more than 1500 chimneys swept each year, and a database of over 4500 satisfied customers, you know you’re in capable hands.
Today the 1-4-U-2-Call runs a sophisticated database system and can send reminders via postcards or email. Also sweeping certificates which are required by insurance companies can be sent via email too.

Martin doesn’t just trail in the footsteps of the family, he has been leading the way with being the first chimney sweep in Suffolk to utilize the Power Sweeping system and is the creator of the modern Digital Sweeps database system which has helped to streamline the booking in process and to this day is still the only Qualified chimney sweep in Suffolk. As the former technical director of The Guild Of Master Sweeps, Martin is determined to stay ahead of the competitors and offer the very best service possible.

2012
Martin became an instructor for Rodtech UK LTD and is now helping to improve the knowledge and quality of chimney sweeps nation wide.

2014
Kathryn has now passed her training as a certified chimney sweep and is now successfully sweeping chimneys with very positive comments from customers.

2015
Martin passed the HETAS H003 installers course and is now licensed to install wood burners and multi fuel stoves. Learn More

Rejoined the Guild of Master Sweeps as a qualified master chimney sweep
